A dream it would seem 

Even though awake 

I notice a theme 

reason we forsake 

the world a pipedream 

so many partake 

a dream 

Fantasy an outbreak 

thoughts are mainstream 

we admire the fake 

discouraged to blaspheme 

can’t silence the mistake 

a dream 

Even after daybreak 

beings supreme 

put lives at stake 

reason deemed 

ready for the wake 

a dream 

That comes with heartache 

makes me scream 

not for heaven’s sake 

but at the silliness stream 

storytellers make
